Making the most of our hinterland wedding venue

There are so many things that make The Bower Estate an iconic Gold Coast Hinterland Wedding Venue. Rolling farm land, options for outdoor or marquee ceremony and reception, dramatic hinterland views and lush rainforested privacy.

Guests disembarked the Bower bus and made their way to the hilltop ceremony area enjoying the vast views from Lamington National Park all the way to Springbrook National Park as they awaited the arrival of the wedding party. Arriving in style, both the groomsmen and bridesmaids rolled into the venue in vintage cars and made the most of photo opportunities around the Bower turning circle before entering the ceremony area.

Exchanging vows under the guidance of Brodie’s grandfather, the ceremony was a magical, once in a lifetime experience for the guests and newlyweds alike.

With a keen eye for style, Bower Bride, Chloe, was all over the finer details that made the most of the views, the space and the party. Here are our three favourite details from their big day (let’s be honest, there were fifty things we loved, these three don’t even begin to cover it!):

1. Green Styling

What do you do when you have views for days and a venue that has verdant lawns and lush rainforest? You celebrate it and go large with the green styling! Chloe and Brodie had a phenomenal round arbour that featured orchids amongst a dramatic display of greenery sourced from the property. Following that theme, lush greenery was installed on ladders above the bridal table with drop pendant lighting to create a feature of the bridal table. Paired with vases with florals and greenery throughout all the tables, Chloe and Brodie created a strong styling element that worked around their feasting dining.

2. Little touches for guests that we just loved.

With crisp clear skies in Spring, the evenings were fresh at The Bower Estate. Chloe and Brodie set-up baskets with small colour themed blankets and a sign that read ‘to have and to hold when you’re feeling cold’. We spotted a few guests having late night chats on the outdoor lounges, getting snuggly under the blankets!

3. Living wedding favours

With an abundantly green venue and lush styling to match, it was a perfect fit to give guests small potted succulents as wedding favours. Over 100 dainty pots were set-out over a three level shelf with a gold-trimmed sign inviting guests to take one home. It was such a thoughtful wedding favour that will adorn the homes of their guests for years to come.
