Real Weddings

Planning a wedding is a big task, from choosing a venue right down to picking your ultimate playlist for the after party. Before you come visit us at The Bower Estate, we’ve tried to make it a little easier to understand the magic of our venue, and the million ways you can style it to achieve your wedding dreams. We’ve broken down some of the highlights of the Bower property, so you can think about your own ceremony, reception and photography goals and how they can fit in our 120 acres of romantic hinterland beauty. Follow the footsteps of some of our lovely brides and grooms as their wedding adventures unfold across The Bower Estate.

Ceremony Locations

Our iconic ceremony location is the ‘Hillview’. With sweeping 270 degree views that encapsulate the Western aspect of the property, this spot is a must visit location, whether it’s for your formal ceremony or just for photos afterwards. Late afternoons are bathed in soft golden light, and locations in front of the pine forest and water well are a photographers dream.

For large open feels and a festival atmosphere, the lower fields are a stunning option for your ceremony, located just below Hillview, this area also achieves gold stars from our favourite photographers.

If you like the idea of a roof over your head and a more classic venue feel, then head down to the Cottage balcony where up to 100 standing guests can be accommodated. With sprawling country gardens surrounding the deck, this is a beautiful location for guests to mingle and photos to be captured. The Cottage is our wet weather contingency for all outdoor ceremonies, so it is always available to you if you desire it.

The Fig Tree is a favourite location for post ceremony canapes, but this area also provides phenomenal shade in the day and a stunning backdrop as dusk descends and the tree comes alive with a million twinkling fairy lights.

Reception

All wedding receptions are held on The Ridge where the Fig Tree lawn sweeps into our signature clear marquee. There is more than meets with eye in this large and dynamic space. You can utilise the Fig Tree for post ceremony canapes, a dance floor and live music or even as your primary reception dining area. With large and sweeping views towards the east, you can see the moon rise and dramatic sunset colours paint across the cliffs of Springbrook National Park.

Moving up to the clear marquee you can see what makes our venue so iconic. Why would we build an indoor dining area when the best room in the house is… outdoors! Looking up, the twinkling fairy lights meld seamlessly into the starry night sky to create a truly magical atmosphere.

East of the marquee is a large outlook section where guests can soak up the never ending views. With ample space, this area can be used for standing cocktail dining, a low lounge zone or left clean and empty for guests to roam about and enjoy the view.
