Our Philosophy

The Bower Estate is a family property that has been grown and tended to for over 12 years. Before we became custodians of this phenomenal corner of South East Queensland, the Traditional Owners of the Yugambeh Language Region and all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People of the Gold Coast nature and community thrived here for thousands of years, and we aim to continue this philosophy well beyond our time. For the years we have been lucky enough to play here, we have worked hard on the land. We have strived to restore the land from its former timber logging and dairy farming history, by reforesting and controlling introduced species to support the incredible biodiversity endemic to this area. This is no small job, and we are grateful to work with such a committed team whose work is evident in the stunning and picturesque events captured here.

Gold Coast family owned farm and estate bringing together special events, weddings and agriculture amongst the national parks and hinterland of the Gold Coast

Now it’s our turn to share our passion, and this beautiful place, with you. We strive to deliver events and work with suppliers that share our passion for the Gold Coast hinterland. We showcase the best of south east Queensland’s natural environment, produce and talent to create meaningful and once-in-a lifetime experiences in a place like no other.

The Bower Estate is not just a place of business, it’s a community and a legacy for future generations to enjoy. Alongside our events we delve into projects that align with our values including: bush regeneration, beekeeping, small scale agriculture, collaborations with local restaurants, wildlife conservation and eco-education.

The Bower Estate bees work year round to create delicious honey for wedding favours, bonbonnieres and as features in our wedding catering menus

You’ll see the personality of this place pop up in all of our events; be it a jar of honey from the Bower Bees as gifts for guests, native raspberries from the land atop your dessert, or lavish native green arrangements suspended from the roof of our clear marquee. We grow, harvest and create from our land.

Keep an eye on our events calendar to see what we’re up to. Join us for our next wellness retreat, degustatory long lunch or paddock to plate picnic day, we would love to host you.
